Brian’s early career included time as a Process Engineer, Manufacturing Manager, and Management Consultant. After several years in the optics industry and the telecom industry, Brian co-founded Universal Lightspeed, a company that created optical read-write heads for the optical disk drive industry. In 1998, Brian founded Blaze Network Products and was the CEO until it was acquired in 2006 by Omron, a Japanese industrial conglomerate. After the acquisition, Brian became President & COO of Omron Network Products, which he managed for eight years. In 2014, Brian initiated a successful management buyout of the business and re-launched the company as Inneos. Two years later, he merged Zephyr Photonics into Inneos to create the vertically integrated, optical company it is today. Brian received his M.B.A. from the Haas School of Management at UC Berkeley, and his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, and Materials Science and Engineering, from UC Davis.
